Abstract

This article examines the relevance of adopting foreign management models to enhance the efficiency of the higher education system in Uzbekistan. Drawing on comparative analysis of leading international practices — including those of the United States, Germany, Finland, South Korea, and Singapore — the study identifies key managerial principles applicable to the Uzbek context. The research highlights the importance of institutional autonomy, quality assurance mechanisms, performance-based governance, and digital transformation as essential pillars of modern higher education management. Practical recommendations are offered for integrating proven foreign approaches into Uzbekistan's ongoing higher education reform agenda.
