Abstract

This article examines the role of the banking system in ensuring financial stability and its impact on economic processes. Financial stability is one of the key factors ensuring the continuous functioning of a country's economy, efficient allocation of financial resources, maintenance of investment activity, and resilience of economic entities to financial risks. The study analyzes the functions of banks in attracting deposits, providing loans, financing investment activities, managing liquidity, reducing credit and market risks, and performing financial intermediation between economic entities. The article also highlights the importance of capital adequacy, liquidity, asset quality, risk management, and prudential supervision mechanisms in ensuring the financial stability of banks. The findings demonstrate that the stable operation of banks affects not only the financial condition of individual banks but also the sustainable development of the economy as a whole. The article develops practical recommendations for further strengthening the financial stability of the banking system.
